I JUST MADE SOME HEAVENLY CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BALLS
Double Chocolate Cookie Dough Protein Balls
Ingredients:
9 dates, pitted
1 1/4 cup raw almonds
3/4 cup unsweetened, shredded coconut
2 Tbsp maple syrup
2 Tbsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp salt
3 scoops chocolate whey protein, OR 2 to 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/3 cup chocolate chips
1) Process the dates in the food processor until smooth. Then, add the almonds and coarsely chop.
2) Add the rest of the ingredients and process until they’re well combined. Transfer to a bowl and add the chocolate chips.
3) Roll the batter into balls and put into an airtight container to store dans le fridge.
These things are great. They remind me of the chocolate brownie Larabars. I’m pretty darn pleased with how they came out! They’re gooey and chocolaty…that texture that I go crazy for.
If I’m not careful, they could be gone by tomorrow…just sayin’
