Bikini Burn Day 4! I listened to my body and took yesterday off. So, I did Two Piece Abs today, and let me tell you, it burned! Felt good though. Finally made it through all the workouts and ready to begin the cycle again tomorrow with a better understanding of what I’m doing. Keep on keepin’ on everyone!
Before and during. My journey hasn’t been one of “weight loss” per se but one of treating my body the right way and learning to love it for all its imperfections. In the before picture, I was drinking fairly regularly, eating whatever I wanted in any amount I wanted, and exercising only sporadically (maybe once a week or less). In the middle picture, I had added consistent exercise into the mix but was still drinking too much and not eating well. But within a month of changing my diet and cutting out (most of) the alcohol (I’m a beer girl, I can’t help it!) I’ve noticed significant changes in my body.
As someone who struggled with an eating disorder beginning at age 15, it has been a huge eye opener to see the effects of treating my body the right way. It has made me not only look better, but feel so much happier and more comfortable in my own skin. I am now almost 22 and happier with my body than I have ever been. Besides the physical changes, I am less anxious in general and more focused and disciplined. My joints don’t give me problems like they used to, my circulation has improved, I sleep better, and I have infinitely more energy.
I am still working hard toward achieving my ideal fitness level, and look forward to the positive changes I know it will bring!
Unfortunately I don’t know my exact weight in any of the pictures as the scale is very triggering for me. I guesstimate I started at around 165 and am now somewhere in the 155-160lb range, but I can’t be completely sure. I am 6 feet tall.
